Taking Care of Whom? - To MFS

I read the same Web of Care flyer this morning. I looked at the quiz but I didn't take it. Not that I don't think my experience is typical (in fact, apparently, it is). But, I'm feeling a little over burdened by people exhorting me, with good intentions, to take care of myself. I've decided I'm going to do a little research and see how often men are told to take care of themselves. See, I think the thing with men is, they learn how to take care of themselves the same way we women do (and, I do think we learn how to take care of ourselves); but they don't learn how to take care of other people. They don't even think they have to. I don't think women need to be taught how to take care of themselves. They are. Better than the men, it appears. What women need is for someone to start teaching men how to spontaneously take care of those around them and that being able to do that is "human", not "feminine".
I do, though, make a distinction between those who tell me, lovingly, to take care of myself (what the hell do they think I'm doing, anyway) and those, like you, who tell me to take a break, you'll fill in. MFS, I will take a break when I'm ready. And, I wouldn't have a problem with transferring Mom there for awhile. But, I can't see that I will need a lo-o-o-ng break from taking care of Mom. If it gets to that place she probably needs to be in a home. Somehow, though, I don't think it will get to that place. I don't really have a problem with a lot of what are normally considered "restrictions" surrounding caretaking. My problem is with the business end of it. I always kept my alone life very simple from a business point of view. Mom's is not. Sometimes that is traumatic for me to deal with.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to Prescott and planting, too. Another storm is sweeping through, this weekend; rain here, all weekend long, and snow in Prescott. It was raining cats and dogs this morning. The sky is clear,at the moment, so I'll probably go take a look at the weather channel to see what's going on.
One thing you can be sure of, if Mom starts getting nasty I think I'll bring in the professionals. She's got coverage for it. No reason not to use it. I love you too, but watch it if you get nasty, MFS. I mean it!
